On the history of the Friedmann family
Until the mid 19th Century fifty Jewish families lived in the small Thuringian village Aschenhausen – including Bernhard and Rosa Friedmann (née Ehrenreich). They were the parents of Nathan Friedmann, who was born on 9th May 1869 in Aschenhausen. In 1871, the twins Thekla and Rebekka appeared on the scene.
